Finding Hotel Values

Posted: May 25th, 2011 under News.

How do you go about finding a good hotel when you’re planning a trip? Do you rely exclusively on Internet reviews? Do you pore over travel guides at your local library or bookstore? Is price the biggest factor in your selection, or is location more important?

Everyone has their own method for finding the right lodgings when travelling, but there a few tips that everyone should take into consideration. Let’s use the example of a trip to Boston to see how these work.

With over 16 million tourists visiting it each year, there are literally hundreds of hotels in Boston and the surrounding area. Like most cities, Boston hotels run the gamut from luxurious to downright dangerous. Because the city is so small, there are even a couple luxury hotels near Logan airport.

Anyone looking to visit this compact, but densely populated city should have an idea of what attractions they want to see before booking a room. Simply Googling terms like, Boston hotels near Bunker Hill can return a good list to start working from. Once you’ve narrowed the list, start reading user reviews online.

No matter what criteria you use to make your final decision, you’ll find that a little research goes a long way in selecting a hotel.
