Because there price comparison sites for many out there nowadays most people after being left with only one of the favorites such as Kayak.com or Expedia FareCompare – but this is really an act of faith. These sites may or may not provide the best price for your trip. What foll
ows is a complete step by step approach to buying rates balance. Note that while I’m picking a few sites I think are good, there are other equally good.
Step 1: Always start your research with a megasite. casalaquintacondos.com Like myself. Here you will have access to published fares airline openly. These are the fees that airlines openly and market knowledge. At Travelocity, simply fill in the “From” and “To” field, then click on “Flexible dates” and then “Search Flights” – this search will give you a list of the cheapest rates published. Have a notebook and write down the best offer or offers for your trip.
Step 2: Go to one of the sites with discounted rates. Try Kayak.com and see what they have to offer. If you find better deals made in its Travelocity, write.
Step 3: Then go to AirlineConsolidator.com and get a list of preparers. These are companies that buy seats in bulk and sell them, usually on the travel agencies, but also occasionally to individuals. For a very cheap airfare, you should try to book a month or more in advance with a consolidator, but sometimes last minute seats available. Sometimes these coaches have the best prices found anywhere. A few reputable consolidators AirfarePlanet.com (based in Salem, OR), DfwTours.com (based in Dallas, TX), and PicassoTravel.net (based in Los Angeles, CA). Again, if you find the best deal so far, write it down.
