Taking Inventory

Posted: November 8th, 2011 under News.

I dread this time every year but it has to be done. Taking inventory is one of the most boring tasks that our staff does all year. But it is vitally important and this year I started off checking our Jeep off road parts. All of the numbers added up properly and I could see that we were actually well-stocked with this particular line of products, so there was nothing further for me to do. Next I checked all of our air filters and engine parts, which were also thoroughly stocked. As I was checking this I’ll I noticed that there were a few Jeep parts lodged behind some tires. I quickly retrieved them and put them back in their proper place, then I went to lunch.

I decided that I wanted to go have a steak and I wanted to sit down for about an hour and half or so because I had some important papers to go over. I was thinking about what to do about some of our employees, a few of which I knew that I needed to let go. As I was thinking about this I heard the guys at the next table over talking about their brand-new Rugged Ridge bumpers. As soon as I heard what they paid I totally told them to return these things and come by my shop. I would easily be able to save them $100 because my prices can’t be beat.
