I’ve known my best friend ever since fourth-grade. We’ve grown up together and done just about everything you can imagine and now he has two boys of his own. Both of their birthdays are within two weeks of each other, so for their most recent birthday I decided to buy them as many Haba toys as they wanted. They really love this brand and if you walk into their room that’s all they have scattered all over the place.
When they had a free day my buddy gave me a call. I picked them all up and took them out to a special birthday lunch and then we headed over to the mall. As soon as we walked through the doors they headed straight for the big display of Haba wooden toys. They picked out the ones they liked, which seemed to take at least an hour, but when they were finally done we headed to the checkout line to pay.
The line took forever to move and by the time we got to the front it was already getting near closing time. As the clerk was ringing everything up, my friend’s youngest son noticed a Haba marble run that he really wanted. I told him to go and get it as fast as he could and he did just that.
