- Location: The most important factor that can make or break your Ski holiday is the location of the Chalet Resort. You will not like to book a resort far away from the slopes. This way you will waste a lot of time and energy in travelling to and fro from the slopes, every time you feel like skiing! Most Ski Resorts in Europe, visitors get three choices for the location of the chalet: on slopes, in towns, and out of towns. If your chalet is located on the slopes then you can just walk out of the door and ski whenever you feel like. If your chalet is away from the ski lifts and you do not have your transport then it can be a problem for you. Opt for chalets outside town only if you have your own transport or the Chalet provides you with taxi services. Chalets located outside towns give you options of more ski areas.
- Cooks: If you are a foodie and cannot live without good food and are looking forward to the food that will be served on the holidays, then check out the credentials of the cook in the chalet. Most chalets make sure that their cooks have at least taken a professional cooking course. The luxurious chalets even hire some of the experienced chefs to dish out best food for their customers. However, few chalets can take food for granted. So, it is always better to ask for a sample menu, wine list and to check out the qualification and experience of the cooks at the chalet in advance. If you want food to be more delicious and exotic than ordinary home cooked food it will be worth giving a thought to the luxury chalets.
- Bathrooms: Depending upon the chalet you book, you may be sharing the place with family or a group of friends or with total strangers.
If you are the reserved kinds, who loves his/her privacy, and does not fancy the idea of standing in the queue first thing in the morning for a shower, then you better opt for a larger chalet.
